The Toyota Tacoma has been round for many years and is as well-liked as ever. 1. Disconnect the negative terminal on your battery. You need to do this earlier than beginning any work on an electronic element of your Toyota Tacoma for your personal safety.
2. Take away the two screws and one 10mm bolt from the underside sprint panel under the steering wheel. Pull out the parking brake handle and take away the two screws hidden behind it. Pull the panel out enough to disconnect the hood launch switch. Pull the panel away from the dash and set it aside.
3. Locate and remove one 10mm bolt at the bottom left of the glove box and one screw at the backside right. Open the glove field and take away three screws from the upper portion of the trim. Use your fingers to pry on the upper right portion of the dash panel till it unsnaps. Some fashions have a wiring connection that should be unhooked to completely take away the trim.
4. Discover the screw in the upper right corner the place the glove field was and remove it. Transfer to the underside of the middle console panel and unsnap the clips, beginning at the backside until your entire heart console trim is free.
5. Pull the end knobs from the climate management slides or dials and gently pry the controls out of the dash. Locate one screw under the radio and take away it. Pull the stereo out of the dash and disconnect the wires behind the radio.
6. Connect the wiring harness adaptor to the original harness and plug it into the again of the brand new head unit. Slide the stereo into the sprint and safe it with the original screw. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
7. Flip the radio on and verify every thing is working properly. Substitute the local weather controls, console trim and remaining sprint panels.
